PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

March - President’s Message

Dear Members

This last month was a lot of fun! Our gala dance and award ceremony gave us an opportunity to recognize the past and current leaders of our Chapter and share in our accomplishments. I hope you all had a good time! Huge thanks to Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Ernst & Young and KPMG for sponsoring this event which had a huge emotional value to the people who founded our Chapter, our members and those of us who day-to-day work to make the Orange County Chapter Bigger, Better and Stronger.

Special thanks to David Barton (from Imperial Capital Bank), Jason Uhlman (from Resources Global) and Jason James (from Reliant Audit) for helping me with the organization, registration and coordination of activities that made the Gala possible. I also want to recognize Owen Gonzales from OWL Enterprises for adding his tremendous presence while emceeing our event and for donating the services of a professional photographer to memorialize the event. Great things can happen when there is willingness to achieve, to contribute, and to give and our 25th Anniversary Gala was testimony of what we are able to achieve.
In addition to having a great time this past month, we held elections for the 2008/2009 fiscal year. Thank you for reelecting me and entrusting me to lead our Chapter again. This past year was very rewarding on a personal and professional level and I will continue to do my best to extend your member benefits. Before I welcome the newly elected team, I want to thank the officers, directors and committees for their volunteer work, for their time and their commitment to excellence. You made it all possible!

To the incoming officers, directors and committee members, congratulations! This is the beginning of a great leadership opportunity! Our Chapter welcomes your talents, and your desire to contribute. I am sure that the role you take on July 1st 2008 gives you a chance to make your mark, make a difference. While the board will be busy planning preparing for fiscal year 2009, we are going dark the months of July and August. We plan to kick off the year on Tuesday September 2nd. Save the date! We will see you shortly!

Have a great summer!
